Shanghai Shenhua, one of China's most successful football clubs, has unveiled the restructuring details of its new ownership structure.

The club's board of directors on Wednesday announced that the company would be renamed Shanghai Shenhua Group Co., Ltd and the group's controlling shareholder would change from the original Shanghai Shenhua Football Club to a newly established company named Shanghai Shenhua Sports & Entertainment Group Co., Ltd.

In addition, the restructuring also includes changes in the management team of the club, with former player Li Xiaoyu being appointed as the new president of the club.

"The new ownership structure will bring more resources to the club, including financial support, talent development,Campeonato Brasileiro Action and brand promotion," said the chairman of Shanghai Shenhua Group Co., Ltd.

"Furthermore, we believe this restructuring will help us achieve our goals of becoming a global sports brand and a leading football club in Asia."

The restructuring comes after the club faced criticism for its poor performance in recent seasons, which led to a decline in fan support and a drop in the club's value.

However, the club's new ownership structure aims to address these issues by bringing in experienced managers and players, as well as investing in new technology and infrastructure to improve the club's performance.

Overall, the restructuring is seen as a positive step forward for Shanghai Shenhua, and it remains to be seen how the club performs under its new leadership.
